It\u2019s just blind stubbornness mixed with stupidity and pure survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My balls have been kicked so hard and so many times that I’m not even sure if I still believe in anything. You\u2019re exhausted. You\u2019re angry. You\u2019re broke. You\u2019re in pain. You\u2019ve been let down so often by your Payers, Trust and HOPE that \u201chope\u201d feels like a dirty word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And yet\u2026 I keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s where I am right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s where a lot of you are right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is secondhand faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I didn\u2019t create it. I inherited it from a man named Job. He sat in ashes scraping his wounds with broken pottery while people told him to just curse God and die. He screamed at God. He raged. He questioned everything, everything I do. And still\u2026 he kept breathing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So when I wake up and I have nothing \u2014 accept for fuck just another day of yesterdays shit \u2014 I borrow a bit of second hand faith again from him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I tell myself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf that man could go through worse than this and still come out the other side\u2026 then maybe I can too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether you own your own business, work on commission only, consult, or you\u2019re just an employee trying to build a track record \u2014 it all feels the same when you\u2019re at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re not building success yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re just trying not to die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re showing up even when you feel stupid for still believing something better is possible. You\u2019re doing the work even when it feels pointless. You\u2019re adding one small brick at a time to a CV, to a business, to a life that keeps trying to break you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is secondhand faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not pretty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s just honest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It says: \u201cI\u2019m too fucked to create new belief right now\u2026 so I\u2019m going to borrow from the one who already proved it can be done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
