I\u2019m tired of pretending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God is supposed to be merciful. Just. Loving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But look at my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had an ex \u2014 we were engaged. She turned out to be a kleptomaniac. Stealing whatever she could get her hands on. No real qualifications, pretending to be an accountant. Six months after we broke up, her fuck-up was so big I had to buy a whole bakery just to fix the mess she left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I didn\u2019t ask for that. I didn\u2019t deserve it. But it happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And God? Silent. No protection. No justice. Just another loss piled on top of all the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then this morning I saw it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zephaniah 3:20 \u2014 \u201cGod says, \u2018I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among every people of the earth. Just wait and see.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another beautiful promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another verse telling me to keep waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I know the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God can\u2019t give back time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He can\u2019t give back the years I lost fighting court cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He can\u2019t give back the career that was taken from me at Societe Generale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He can\u2019t bring back my brother, my parents, or the opportunities that passed me by while I was broke and broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those things are gone forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve waited. I\u2019ve prayed. I\u2019ve cried out. I\u2019ve kept going on nothing but secondhand faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And still \u2014 no grand restoration. No sudden miracle that makes everything right again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So today I\u2019m saying it plainly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m tired of the false promises dressed up as hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m tired of people pretending God is a cosmic Santa who will magically rewind the clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m a better person than Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would never be this cruel. I would never let someone suffer for decades while promising restoration that never comes. I would never watch someone fight with integrity and still let the thieves and liars win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m not nearly as cruel as God has been to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet here I am. Still breathing. Still showing up. Still trying to build something honest in a world that rewards the opposite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is my Job season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not waiting for God to fix everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But refusing to become as cruel as the world that broke me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
